Report Status

tip

It's important to use the status to indicate to the whistleblower which state the report is in.

By default a new (unopend) report has the status new. When one of the recipients has opened/read the report, the status is automatically updated to opened. Once the report has been opened, recipients can choose from a set of predefined statuses, e.g. Preliminary investigatigation, investigation, closed (with associated substatuses).

Changing the status can be done by clicking on the following icon in the top bar:

This will open the following window:

Here you can use the dropdown to select from the set of predefined statuses (with associated substatuses).

Below the status, you must enter a motivation to why the status is being updated to the new value. At the moment, this motivation is purely for audit logging purposes.

If the following error is shown, it is possible that the motivation field was left empty. Please try changing the status again with a motivation filled in.
